Good weekend for the Jacobson siblings in basketball.
Sarah and the Bison win in Denver.
A.J. and the Bison beat Omaha in Fargo.

Reilly Jacobson with 20 points, 7 rebounds in the Bison win in Denver.
Reilly's 6' 9" brother Michael, playing for Tim Miles' Nebraska squad, wins at Maryland today. Nebraska now 8-6, 2-0 in the Big 10 after also beating ranked Indiana (also on the road).

Game went to OT, where the Gophers pulled away for the W, 91-82.
Minnesota had lost 8 straight at Mackey Arena, not winning at Purdue
since 2005. Purdue is ranked, #15.
    Minny now 13-2 (1-1 B10)

Another 4 star grab under the Richard Pitino Coaching staff.
Isaiah Washington, Amir Coffey, Eric Curry, Dupree McBrayer, now Daniel Oturo.
    Washington - 2017 recruit
    Coffey - Freshman
    Curry - Freshman
    McBrayer - Sophomore
    Oturu - 2018

And by announcing early, Oturu gives Pitino the chance to build
a recruiting class around him. There is big big talent in 2018 Minnesota high school class.

Oturu, who is averaging 18 points, 17 rebounds and seven blocks this season, picked the Gophers after also receiving scholarship offers from schools such as Kansas, Texas, Nebraska, Georgia Tech and Memphis. Baylor was runner-up.

The Gophers also offered Apple Valley’s Tre Jones, Armstrong’s Race Thompson and DeLaSalle’s Gabe Kalscheur. Jones, Thompson and Oturu are the top three players in the state’s junior class.
More on the other 2018 offers
Tre Jones - younger brother to Timberwolves' Tyus Jones
    (another future Dukie???)

Race Thompson - son of former Gopher RB Darrel Thompson
Gabe Kalscheur - led DeLasalle to title last spring, beating Fergus Falls

Challenging times for Tim Miles at Nebraska, losing a 4th player to transfer this spring, 2 of whom were front-line regulars.

The Nebraska men's basketball team made it official early Monday evening, announcing that sophomore Michael Jacobson will transfer at the end of the spring semester.

The 6-foot-9 forward from Waukee, Iowa, is the second Husker regular to ask for his release in the last 12 days, joining Ed Morrow. That makes half of Nebraska’s "core" group — the four players who joined the program as freshmen two seasons after NU’s NCAA Tournament run — to leave the program this spring......

......Nebraska finished 16-18 in Jacobson's freshman season with six freshmen and sophomores on the roster and went 12-19 this year with seven freshmen and sophomores.

Michael Jacobson is a brother of NDSU women's player Reilly Jacobson.
The article mentions he is looking at Iowa State.

Saul Phillips loses a grad transfer to Michigan

“Jaaron informed me today of his intention to transfer to Michigan," Ohio coach Saul Phillips told the paper in a statement. "We are disappointed in his decision, but wish him luck."

Simmons would be instantly eligible as a grad transfer. He was a first-team All-Mid-American Conference player, averaging 15.9 points and 6.5 assists per game.
