At the end of the GF Herald article, Mike Jacobs references to Bresicani's "considerable ability." That right there is why he wants him gone. He wants a standard grade NDSU president to come in to bow and scrape to the SBoHE and he wants NDSU to diminish in stature so UND can look better by comparison.
Only small people attempt to elevate themselves by hoping other's fortunes will decline.
The fact that Bresciani is a thorn in Jacob's side says more about Mike Jacobs than it does about Dean Bresciani.
