From Wikipedia: Charleston Southern University, founded in 1964 as Baptist College, is an independent comprehensive university located in North Charleston, South Carolina. Charleston Southern enrolls 3,600 students. Affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention, the university's vision is to be nationally recognized for integrating faith in learning, leading and serving.

It appears that their Football program is relatively new... they talk about success during the last 3 years. Again ... Wikipedia: The Charleston Southern Buccaneers football program is the intercollegiate American football team for Charleston Southern University located in the U.S. state of South Carolina. The team competes in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) and are members of the Big South Conference. Charleston Southern's first football team was fielded in 1991. The team plays its home games at the 4,000 seat Buccaneer Field in North Charleston, South Carolina and are led by head coach Jamey Chadwell.

Jamey Chadwell era 2013–present Head Coach Jamey Chadwell took over the program after the retirement of Jay Mills following the 2012 season. The program has reached new heights with most wins in a season (10) in 2014, a win over national FCS power Appalachian State, 3 straight wins over The Citadel, and two home wins over Coastal Carolina, the most recent a 2015 33-25 thriller when CCU was ranked #1 in the nation at kickoff.

Ok, they be App State and #1 ranked Coastal Carolina. That is a great accomplishment. But I have a feeing they are going to be similar to every other team that plays in the dome for the first time. Add to that home opener to start the season, ESPN, banner raising, new video boards, all day tailgating. The dome is going to be insane!!

Do they really play in a stadium that only seats 4,000?

Charleston Southern player named to 2016 STATS FCS Defensive Player of the Year Award Watch List,
also included on the list are NDSU's Nick DeLuca and Greg Menard.

Anthony Ellis, Charleston Southern, DE, Jr., 6-1, 245
It's no coincidence Ellis had a breakout season in 2015 and Charleston Southern had one of the stingier defenses in the FCS. He totaled 17 1/2 tackles for loss, including seven sacks, among his 54 stops. … Well-rounded, Ellis also had three fumble recoveries, forced a pair, intercepted a pass and blocked a kick. The Buccaneers won the Big South title and Ellis was named to the all-conference first team. … Versatile on the Buccaneers' defensive line, he is smaller than a typical D-tackle but bigger than a typical D-end. Though quiet off the field, he brings confidence and a swagger to the team.

Bad match up for CSU with NDSU. Small, athletic defense that will wear down in the 2nd half IMO.

I'd be surprised if this is closer than 3 TDs.

Seriously, our local HS stadium holds around 4500 and is nicer than CSU.
