Annual 'complain about online ticket system' thread

People want to whine and complain about the dome not having a sellout on Saturday. A big part of it is people have stopped trying to get tickets because they believe there aren't any to get. The other part which frustrates me is I know there are tickets available, but NDSU doesn't release tickets the same way in the playoffs ever. For season ticket holders I'm sure it's exactly the same way so please ignore me. For the rest, they have NEVER released tickets at 6 pm before. NEVER. Also every other year they have started opening up the end zone student section for us that aren't season tickets holders but still want to go to the game on Saturday because they know the students won't sell out their entire section. Did they do that this year?? Of course not. I assume they will be there on Wednesday, but seriously why the changes?? You would think NDSU who has dealt with this "issue" for 7 years now would have this finely tuned but I guess not. I don't understand why every year is different.

Rant over. I'll get over it.

And yet with all the hand wringing about not selling out attendance was only down 238 (or 1.3%) from the San Diego game last year and 165 (or 0.9%) from the Montana game in 2015.

I didn't have any trouble getting tickets this morning. It seems like the system can handle more people the 2nd time around.

Usually "transferring" a couple of tickets from your account (season tickets) is very easy. For some reason, this is not working smoothly tonight. Anyone else having issues?

I wonder if the NCAA changed their playoff ticket prices rule this year. It used to be you couldn't charge less than whatever your cheapest regular season home game ticket price was so that would be $30 for endzone and $40 for sideline but the prices are $31/$41 instead. Even student tickets are $6 instead of the usual $5. Doesn't make much sense for NDSU to raise prices that little when they only get 25% of the gate (or an extra quarter for every ticket sold) so I'd assume that extra dollar on all the tickets are due to some wierd NCAA rule change.
