Coach Bob Nielson, in his 2nd recruiting season, has South Dakota
close to full, if not already full, on commits.

Just got a verbal from a Missouri WR, Reggie Crawford Jr (6' 2" 186)
who was good enough to have had offers from Wyoming, Ball State, Illinois,
New Mexico, Illinois State, Missouri State, at one time - 3 star rating.

    Had a 2017 NDSU offer, NDSU currently with 2 other 6' 6"ish TE/ATH verbals
Taula also had offers from SDSU, South Dakota, Missouri State, Hawaii
    (Darius Shepard's high school)

Jackrabbits really pulled a rabbit out of the hat
with the Callender verbal, 6' 6" 220 DE.
Some Jacks fans think Callender has the potential to start as a true freshman.

If they get the Lofton/Campbell package tomorrow,
perhaps they can pull another rabbit out of the hat,
and get their teammate Boye Mafe to join in the fun,
despite his Rutgers offer and potential Gopher offer.
That would give the Jacks another interesting DE prospect at 6' 4" 220

No other FCS offers?? Wow good for them.
Was this a miss for NDSU or did they see something they didn't like?

From Arizona don't know if NDSU has anyone in that area? Or at least don't go strong on it.

It seems odd that he'd pick SDSU out of those offers?? Unless they were pwo offers instead of a scholarship?

Sounds like SDSU was 1st in with showing interest and then an offer,
built their relationship with him, and at the end Mr Callender
felt SDSU was the best fit for his future. Possibly an engineering
major, so that was important in Brookngs being a good fit.
Also, possibly being able to play right away.

More confirmed news from Northern Iowa

Brandon Lynch, UNI’s secondary and associate head coach of defense the past two seasons, has accepted a position with East Carolina as its defensive backs coach.
Lynch, a 2006 graduate of Middle Tennessee State, joins UNI defensive line coach Bryce Paup and co-offensive coordinator Ryan Mahaffey as coaches who have left the Panther staff since the end of the season.

Paup is headed to the University of Minnesota to coach its defensive line, while Mahaffey moved on to Western Kentucky to coach the tight ends.
