    Default 2017 MVFC Recruiting

Now the 'Yotes have their own 6' 4" QB verbal from a Florida high school.
Jakob Parks - Clearwater Central Catholic HS

    http://www.scout.com/player/208497-j...arks?year=2016

South Dakota State - QB verbal - Ethan Bullock - 6'4" 200, Maitland, FL (Orangewood Christian)

NDSU - 6' 4" Holden Hotchkiss - Lakeland Senior HS, Lakeland, FL

Northern Iowa gets a verbal from Jared Brinkman,
6' 1" 260, Regina High School, Iowa City, Iowa
younger brother of Bison LB Jake.

He was a Class 1A first-team all-state offensive lineman last fall and had 63 solo tackles and six sacks on defense.

According to Rivals, which lists him as a defensive tackle, Brinkman also held offers from Army (FBS), Western Illinois (FCS) and Northwest Missouri State (D-II).

Seems like recruits are being attracted to the MVFC as it is considered the premier FCS conference......
e.g. Youngstown State DE verbal who had a Kent State offer

and added one of the top FCS recruits in the nation over the weekend when 6-foot-4, 215-pound defensive end Antoine Cook of McKeesport, Pa. came aboard with the Penguins.
And also the South Dakota verbal from 6' 6" 250 lb DE Peter Klug
(Blue Valley North HS - Overland Park Kansas)
(Wyoming offer, Air Force, Tulane, UNI, Illinois State)

and also the South Dakota QB verbal, who said this:

In my opinion (the MVFC) is one of the tops if not the top. The whole conference is filled with well-rounded teams from top to bottom and there is always competition."
(Coyotes now up to 9 verbals)

Youngstown State lands freshman FCS transfer

Bo Pelini and his Youngstown State coaching staff have added a nice bonus to their 2016 signing class.
Jonathan Pollock was a 3-star rated, Top-100 linebacker out of Florida this spring when he signed a letter of intent with Rutgers.
    The 6' 2" 225 lb is actually considered a 2016 recruit.

And a little more of what Jonathan Pollock had to say......

he has always loved the FCS level.

"I've always watched FCS games, I mean we're going to get to play North Dakota State, you have teams like Richmond and Youngstown State--you can see how good they are," Pollock said. "It's a blast and I'm no stranger to it".

Western Illinois loses a recruiting battle to Wyoming
Brother Rice senior running back Xazavian Valladay (6-foot-1, 190 pounds)

Valladay, who had an offer from Western Illinois was also drawing late season recruiting interest from several Mid American Conference and Missouri Valley Conference schools before ending his recruiting process tonight.
