Step 1. Sign a kid
Step 2. Retain the kid
Step 3. Develop the kid

#1 can be the easiest sometimes, NDSU signed MANY big name, big offer recruits to only have them not see the field.

Till USD can prove that they can do 2 of the 3 above and do it regularly they are still miles behind

I dunno. Nielson has a hell of a proven track record; I think he has proved that. (Granted, the culture argument.) I wonder if we are seeing a start to the changing of the guard in SD.
