It is if you're an UDFA. It's not if you're a high second round draft pick. It would be super helpful if he could make a couple of big plays to get everyone's mind off that drop though.

He did do an outstanding job blocking though... not that that will matter to any of the talking heads.

But I hate these tv personalities like Jeff Saturday who just hammered Watson. When looking back at Davanta Adams career he was pretty average his first two years into the league. Even Jamar Chase struggled mightily at the beginning. Watson will improve and Rodgers needs to help him improve as it is kind of his fault by taking such a large salary it limited Green Bay from signing Adams.
Green Bay was ready to give DaVante just as much money as he got in Vegas. The reason he left was because Rodgers wouldn't give him an answer on how much longer he would play for the Packers and he didn't want to sign a long term deal if Rodgers was going to retire after a year. This is what Adams himself has said. So it is still Rodgers fault that he isn't there, but it wasn't because of the money it was because he wouldn't tell Adams how much longer he would play.

Colin Cowherd and Nick Wright discussed how Christian dropping that pass was more telling of Rodgers than Watson. Saying Rodgers, on the next play, should have thrown a WR screen to CW to build up his confidence. Instead, Rodgers never attempted to throw to him again until late 4th quarter. They were not speaking highly of Rodgers.

That's inaccurate. Rodgers never threw to him again; that was the backup.

I think you are wrong as Rodgers threw to him three more times before he exited the game. One was a bad throw down by the goal line that of course Watson takes the heat for not turning his head soon enough, but it was a poorly designed play, pass, and Watson was late.
    If it flies it dies.

Long for the days of freezing in the south stands of Dacotah Field.

That play was bogus...only way Watson catches that pass is if he's looking at Rodgers when the ball is snapped and therefore not seeing Randall Cobb and his defender right in front of him.

In all actuality it should have been pick 6 but at the very least an interception. Rodgers pretty much threw the ball right at the DBs chest.

He could have also built his confidence by tossing some out there to let Watson run under. A couple wide angles on their play action showed Watson blow by the coverage. Even if he doesnt catch up to it, there's no way the DBs were going to catch it either so it would have just been an incomplete pass...better than losing yards and taking the sack.

Rodgers threw to him twice in the fourth. One was a quick out and then right after that was the botched screen play. And it wasn't that he didn't throw to him until the fourth, he didn't even look to his side of the field until the fourth.
