I don't know about slowing down. That's splitting hairs. But one thing I noticed is that 2 targets to CW resulted in interceptions. They were both 50-50 balls that Watson needs to be winning given his size. He's still young so I'd expect him to get more selfish with the ball as he develops.

Disagree - particularly on the second one. That was thrown way late and short - he had no chance at that ball.

Athletes with chronic/recurring hamstring strains are typically very cautious when accelerating. And Watson has just recently returned after a bout w, this injury. He was noticeably slower on his long completion/run.

I saw it differently. He let his momentum take him out of the play. He needs to learn to relentlessly fight, even when it is a shitty pass...particularly given he's stuck with Jordan Love passing to him now.

2nd one was not on him at all he had 0 shot at getting back to that

I also believe he didn't have a shot at the second one. If I remember correctly he was already backpedaling which makes it hard to change directions when he is already falling kind of backwards. The pass was way late and short and that initially might have been due to the pass rush.
