That same thing occurred to me a couple of years ago in a game (Bobcats?) when Trey scrambled left, then located Dimitri Williams on the right sideline and heaved it up. Williams caught it and started hustling down the sideline but Christian came like a bullet from off screen to block/escort him into the endzone. He didn't even look like he was trying. Just unreal speed.
Insert something clever here...
Taking nothing away from he legendary Zach Vraa, let's agree to disagree.
Let me ask you this: Christian has been invited to the Senior Bowl and the NFL Combine. Do you think those peeps are thinking of hiring him to run track?
I think many here, myself included, saw Christian three or four years ago as a long, fast guy who didn't catch reliably. Some of us have not updated that burned in impression. I have. Christian catches most everything in his radius today unless the defender makes an outstanding (or illegal) play.
He has definitely improved...and gotten better as the season has gone along. Can't remember if it was at the beginning of this season or not (possible it was this spring), but I remember him getting hit on a fairly deep pass up the middle that just bounced off his hands. He had a few of those. Vraamoney did not have those. But I do think he has put in work to correct that. I wish him well and hope he very successful in the NFL. Never saw him take a play off, and his blocking was excellent.

You've got some good points but he probably got those invites more on his size and speed than his hands. IIRC he was still dropping balls in the spring season. By the way I'm not trying to take anything away from him, just don't think he's got the hands that Vraa had.

When you play football, you gotta like the taste of blood, And 50 percent of the time, it's your blood.
It is characteristic of the unlearned that they are forever proposing something which is old, and because it has recently come to their own attention, supposing it to be new.

Watson's speed is on a completely different level.
you mess with the ^Bison^ you get the horns
Some of his catches while covered this year should me he has good hands. Missouri St TD catch with the DB all over him and the ball sort of coming in past the back of the DB and Watson catching it with no problem. Other catches on the sidelines for 1st downs with the DB right on him whether he went up over them to get it or was able to secure the ball while they tried to get their hands in there to cause a drop. Multiple times this year he looked like an NFL receiver to me.
Let me preface this by saying Vraa was one of my all time favorite players.
Vraa had all world hands. As an unfortunate life long Vikings fan, I would compare them to Cris Carter. He caught everything including a ball off of a players helmet. (I'll never forget that play)
Watson has OK hands, but good enough.
You can teach a blazing fast 6-5 guy to catch better with practice.
You can't teach a 6-2 guy with great hands and average speed to run a sub 4.4 or jump like a 6-5 guy.
