Someone just reminded me that was the place I got my last drink as a free man. I got married at the Alumni Center right across the parking lot and we bumped over to the Turf for a drink after the pictures.

I really hope it gets rebuilt and sold to a non-scumbag.

Well looks like if they want a bar there to open in time for school they need to go the route of the Log Cabin bar in Sioux Falls. Park a singlewide trailer on the lot and boom, you're back in business.

Thats it. No turfburgers for homecoming.
I don't care how the vote ended up. They still suck and always will.

Property and Casualty claims aren't paid the way most people think. The insurance claim will pay for rebuilding. If he wants a check, that's a whole different discussion

Plus it all depends on what type of insurance he has. Full cost of replacement etc.
I think there are also riders you can add on for loss of business etc.

Mr. Sabo was on Heitkamp today, said he had not changed or updated his insurance policy in 15 years, said he will cover himself whatever his insurance doesnt...of course that was for using the exsisting building he felt was usable. Not sure what happens if they say its totalled and unsafe

That headline is misleading. Not that the Forum would have sensationalize a headline...

All the city is saying is get moving on your plan. Get an acceptable engineer/architect plan to us for your repair or rebuild, otherwise the building has to be torn down in its current state. No real news there.

With how QUICKLY the city has moved on other nuisence properties in the city, I find it laughable that they are giving him 30-60 days to figure shit out. I wouldn't be surprised if it looks the same NEXT homecoming as it does today.

It's Pete Sabo...they aren't going to do him any favors.
