Don't want to start a separate thread. This is a different kind of ranking from a group called Third Way. They call it a mobility ranking and it looks at how likely a student is to improve their situation by going to that school. It looks at how much it costs for a $48k/year family to send a kid, the 6-year grad rate, fed loan repayment rate, and Pell Grant info.

Among 4-year public schools, NDSU came in 71st out of 535.

NDSU is cheaper than UND for low income families(that seems odd as the difference is $11k vs. $14k). UND has a slightly higher grad rate(55% vs 53%). NDSU has a slightly better loan repayment rate(93% vs. 92%), slightly better earning potential(76% make >$25k after 6 years vs. 75%), and more Pell grant students(23% vs. 22%).

This is how I imagine those meetings between Dean and the SBoHE go every time he has tell them that NDSU, not UND is the leading university in North Dakota.
