Did a little investigating on this kid. I didn't know much about him. Apparently he just loved it up here. Had the offer and wanted to shut down his recruiting. He is 6'1 and 188 and a late bloomer. Just a later rising kid who has his best future ahead of him. Great safety prospect. Huge to get a Bison from that school, may have some others pending. Nice little get. This is a big week. I remember last year seeing several videos after the camp of some young men with NDSU offers. Really looking forward to seeing some of them again. Bison fans, especially during this time of year, are soaking up any new information on the football front like a sponge.

It will be interesting seeing where he ends up. Looks like a good safety but if he is a guy who packs on weight as he is already at 190 he could make a pretty kick ass OLB or hybrid.

Kid looks to be a good athlete with good size. Tackles well and has good ball skills. Good level of competition. Coaches see something in the kid so that's all I need to know

The Mount Carmel safety is thankful to now be done with the recruiting process.
"I decided to commit as I felt like NDSU was the most honest school in my recruiting process, and I was impressed with everything I saw and heard," Mcclurge explained to the BisonReport.

McNabb was a point guard for the Caravan in the early 90's. The power forward on that same team was NBA alum Antoine Walker. Those two guys were the 2nd and 3rd best players on that team. Their top stud, (can't remember the guys name) was a small forward that was the most talented and electric high school player that I ever saw. Sadly, he never went anywhere because of grades. During that period, their old school gym provided an incredible atmosphere for basketball games.

As was the case for all Chicago city schools and many south suburban schools, ALL attendees had to go through a metal detector upon entering the gym.

Was it Willie Jones you were thinking of? Also, didn't Simeon Rice play with those guys too?
