Great run! IWU has built a very nice NAIA program in many sports in little Marion, IN, halfway between Indy and Fort Wayne. They decided about 8 years ago to start a football program and invested heavily. They have one of the nicest small college stadiums I've been in. I got to referee their very first competition in that stadium. It was their first year and they only had freshmen. They played a D3 JV team and crushed them. After only a couple seasons they've been ranked in the top 5 consistently. They finished #6 this year and lost to #4 Georgetown yesterday in the quarterfinals. Their initial head coach was hired by Iowa State after last year and has a very bright future.

    Love small college athletics!!
