Anybody heard anything, seen anything (video) from Teschuk, on how she felt, etc. in the 3000m Steeplechase semi-finals?

I suspect she ran with the leaders, made sure she finished Top 5, wasn't trying to win the heat.

Good luck to her on Sunday, in the final.

The prelims are not good indicator. Erin and others do a total coast job when they know they have their spot in the final locked up. The equivalent of dribbling out the last 30 seconds when the game is over. In the finals, they will compete to the tape.

    Go Erin!!

So, in future World Championships or Olympics, do we cheer for or against Erin when she is running against the USA, USA?

I was wondering if Teschuk said anything after the race about how she felt.
Did she feel like she had to go all out to finish in the Top 5? Or did it feel easy for her.

    WOW!

Donavan Brazier of Texas A & M beats Jim Ryun's 50 year old record in the 800 meter run by nearly a full second.

Ryan's old record: 1:44.3 in 1966 (hand held time)
Yesterday Brazier won the 800m in 1:43.55.

That is amazing, and a great time. It is within striking distance of the AMERICAN record in the 800m - 1:42 something. The guy from Mississippi State - Brandon McBride - was favored b/c he had run a 1:44 and change in the outdoor regular season this year. Brazier sort of came out of nowhere, [b] and he is a Freshman [\b]. He ran 1:45.93 indoors and 1:46.13 outdoors this year, was #7 on tfrrs.org (university listings). His 1:43 is a 2.5 second jump, which is huge in the 800m.

They didn't mention Erin at all right before the race. Prove them wrong Erin!

Now they switch to the heptathlon. Last they showed Erin was in 3rd. The leader is taking it out.
