    So like, instead of eliminating sports you could just drop to DIVII and maybe win?

    Could they could go non scholarship D1 and join the Pioneer league? It even fits the footprint

    I doubt you'll see many FCS schools drop down to D-II since they would lose their share of the money from the NCAA Men's basketball tournament. Even the Summit Leauge gets 30% of its revenue from our share of the pie. https://www.washingtonpost.com/graph...ts/ncaa-money/

    FCS makes sense for Eastern Michigan... if the FCS and G5 combine.

    I think there are two factors now. The autonomy of the P5 (I could see them raising scholarship limits) and the adoption of "Full Cost of Attendance " by some FCS schools. I could see those two developments driving a larger wedge between the "Have's" and the "have not ' s " in their respective divisions.

    FCS is Division 2 right NOW!

    Power 5 = Division 1
    General 5 = Division 1=AA
    FCS = D2
    D2= D2-AA
    D3=D3

    15.4 million to 2.8 million. Its something like 200k per team. This the kind of shit that will lead to a 2nd tier of FBS football. And if you think that's bad.. the Sunbelt made a whopping 100K off of tv deals split between all the schools. Heck NDSU got 1.2 million over 3 years for state wide coverage on NBC.
