Picking a quarterback isnt just picking someone to throw the ball.
This person is a business executive.
Its like having a guy run a construction company who can only drive the backhoe.
Carson will be part of the front office and the face of the organization. Goff is a good looking guy but never seems to be that bright with that silly look on his face.
And mellow might be cool on the beach but don't think its that good in a huddle when your down 6 with 26 seconds to go. (mellow and calm are two different things)
Intangibles are what will make the difference here.

Dont care where he goes as long as he has a long happy life and uses his high profile to do good.

Eh... a couple things I have been impressed with through this process with Goff both happened at the combine.

1. His 5 and 7 step drop backs. I thought he looked as sharp as Cook and Hogan, and like Wentz both of those guys have been doing those for years. Goff has only really worked on it for the last couple months, or he started working on it way before the end of his college season. Either way I'm impressed.

2. His Mariucci interview. I thought he pretty much aced that as did Wentz. You can also see his personality in that interview. Definitely comes off as a perfectionist.

Wentz and Goff kinda remind me of the Manning brothers. Peyton and Wentz come off as more likely to tell a joke or give a half time pep talk. Eli and Jared are little more reserved, but both seem very intelligent.

I have much bigger concerns with Cook and Lynch as franchise QBs as I do with either Carson or Jared.

Well, Carson was on ESPN this morning and said that they got along pretty well (of course, what else is he going to say.)

Had a trifecta yesterday - switched from ESPN to NBC to Fox and all three were talking about Wentz.

If the Rams draft Wentz this is the best troll job ever by Fisher and Snead. Every "insider" is now in "they're picking Goff" camp.

The reason I picked Goff first is when Fisher said Wentz will win a superbowl someday. I don't think a coach would come out and say that about their pick. It was a way to give credit to Wentz.

Seriously? That would assume Fisher must think Goff is capable of one or more superbowls himself. I just don't see Goff as a better fit with better upside for the Rams as compared to Wentz.
