    They should have cut women's hockey as well...no sport is a bigger black hole.

    Now a couple of posters on SS raising the age old issue of why we keep getting away with going around Title IX. Easy, the Feds love us and it's all part of the pro-NDSU conspiracy.

    Zach Muckenhirn is the lefty who pitched the Fighting Hawks to
    their 1-0 victory over USC. He is only a junior, wonder what he will do for
    next season? Am assuming transfers will be immediately eligible
    due to the sport being discontinued, so he and other Hawks could
    start looking.

    His older brother played club baseball for ndsu/msum a few years ago. Could have probably walked on for the varsity squad if he wanted to

    Note cut only men's sports, no women.

    Izzo said at 6 pm that any of the athletes cut will maintain their scholarship if the stay in school.
