I listened pretty close to that call. At first I couldn’t tell if the guy was impaired or that was just him.
Yes, going out anywhere is expensive. Go out to eat, a concert or a bar. You spend money. And you can spend a lot without taking your kids. He complained about food prices. I don’t think I have ever purchased food at the dome. You don’t have to buy your kids stuff just because the want it. There is a McDonald’s across the street.
He also brought up teammakers and that they should lower prices. Probably not knowing that those fees aren’t on all tickets.
The radio guys missed a great opportunity to explain all the stuff he was complaining about. Maybe if people knew how it worked, more people would buy tickets.
Or you could be a fan of Mo State and cash in on those two for $5 tickets

Agreed but you're not going to convince someone who doesn't have the money to come in and "pack the dome".

Somehow market economics is being missed here. The possibility that they priced themselves out of sellouts definitely exists. Especially because they took out so many of the student tickets. Who knows what impact that had? Used to be you could get same day rush tickets for a discount.

During playoffs NCAA will not allow you to sell tickets below your lowest priced tickets during the regular season. No discounts come playoff time. Fun is not Free....

People want what they can’t get is a real thing. Could they lower prices? Yes. Maybe bring back GA.

I completely agree. Although I don't think the tickets are expensive and I can afford them, you can't dismiss someones concerns. That's just kind of a dick move. For this guy to go to one playoff game with his wife and kids will cost him $200. That doesn't even buy any food. Just 1 drink each and a parking spot. To go to 3 playoff games, it's $600. Considering only 40% of American's can afford a $1,000 unexpected emergency, this isn't shocking.

But as I said before, when you have 3 kids, everything is expensive

Well, going forward then, and as long as we are in FCS, we should do one game where ticket prices are lower across the board. That may result in more people attending that game and playoff games because of lower ticket prices. We would likely (maybe?) lose some dollars in reg season game, but may make that up in playoff games, assuming we could have a sliding scale ticket price for playoff games. Just a CTE thought.

yeah. I don't know if there's a solution to this. It used to cost $30 to go to a huge concert and now it's over $100. However, it's not outside the realm of possibility that someone might not want to go based on the ticket price as well as the other stuff that comes along with it. The NCAA is screwed, I am in over $400 for my Frisco tickets, but dismissing peoples concerns and assuming they just HAVE to go to the games is pretty stupid.
