I just don't Boise State going to a P5 conference. I don't know all the rankings, but from what I hear around here, they aren't a peer institution academically to just about anyone in any P5 conference. When they were the most competitive in D1 athletics, they were found to be in violation of NCAA rules. I am not sure how that all adds up to being an attractive candidate.

Correct, it would be BYU before BSU IMO, and I'm not sure Colorado St is a premier program

No but they are positioning themselves to get there. Here is a rendering of their new on-campus stadium currently under construction:

They care about the greater NYC media market. Does anyone care about the greater SLC media market?

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie

Right. But someone commented about Denver not caring about CSU. Does NYC give a shit about Rutgers? Doubt it.

I didn't see much college apparel when I was there a couple weeks ago. Brother in Law(NYC native) tells me Notre Dame and Syracuse would be the two most popular teams there.
