The right time

So i know i may be flamed for saying this, but with all of this positive momentum NDSU has seen the last 5 years, what better time than now to push the move to the FBS. I know all about conference invites, endowment numbers,stadium size, etc... When is the right time? It is highly likely the pump will never again be primed the way it is now.

You answered your own question. When we get an FBS invite. You cant do anything till then. NDSU KNOWS what it takes to make a move up.

So GSU and App St. Didnt have anything to do with their moves? I highly doubt they were idly waiting. I would guess numerous individuals at those schools were working to make the move happen. Is it AD relationships or something like that?

Sun belt was looking for members, nobody out here is looking for Members. geography makes it a bitch for NDSU, MWC only realistic one and that aint happening soon by the looks of it

Sorry 56, but Blue has it right. You don't sell anything sitting and waiting for an order, you have to actively sell to get your invite. Yes, you need an invite, but you need to be Requesting one.

That makes alot of sense, really would be ideal as a B1G/Big 12 member. The MWC would be hellish travel.
So there isnt anything NDSU can do honestly? It would suck to miss using this exposure/recruiting to advance the university as a whole... Move the MVFC up or NDSU can replace Minnesota while they get their s*** together.

Only thing they could do is tell the B12, B1G, MWC, MAC they are interested in making the move and hope they get looked at

Of them only 1 is realistic and that would take a ton of luck

Gene Taylor talked to the WAC and or the MWC about being in the conversation if they were to expand. We also dont know all of the private conversations that went along with that as all the AD know each other in some way and many talk on a regular basis. Most conferences know what schools would like to make a move and who would be in a good position to do so.
