Not sure where to post this, but after watching UNI it's very clear that NDSU is nowhere close to the same level and they have a long long way to go to get there. It's nice to be competing in the Summit but they need a major upgrade in talent and maybe coaching.

NDSU has only been NCAA tournament eligible for less than 10 years. I doubt UNI was at our level (3 tournament appearances with one win) at year 9 of full Division 1 basketball.

Also wouldn't hurt to have their basketball budget, they pump a ton of money into that program. Ben makes significantly more than Dave.

The SHAC will help and Bison basketball is definitely trending in the right direction.

SDSU beat UNI in the 2007-2008 season. The Jackrabbits were 8-21 that year and ineligible for postseason play due to the transition.

Since then, UNI has been to 4 NCAA tournaments and SDSU has been to 3.

The Summit League took a HUGE step forward this year, lots of GREAT young players. Recruiting has gone to a new level across the league and facilities are coming online quickly.

Not sure what all of that means, but things can change quickly. The xDSU's and Summit League are quickly becoming respected mid-majors, IMO.
