Hayden won his first match at the world championships this morning via a 15-4 tech fall over the 2022 Asian silver medalist from Turkmenistan. He fell behind 4-0 via a throw, but dominated the rest of the match and was a force on top with his gut wrenches.
Next up is a match vs Dinesh of India, that I expect Hayden to win.
After Hayden wins that, he has a rematch against World Champion and #1 seed Geno Petriashvili. Zillmer led Petriashvili 4-1 in the final period in July, but Geno wound up scoring the final 7 points for an 8-4 win.
