    Default Scott Miller

At the top of his show this morning, Mike McFeely stated that Scott Miller is going through some tough health issues. As you may be aware, Scott has missed the last two men's basketball games in dealing with them. Mike didn't elaborate as to severity although his emotions were certainly evident while talking, but did remind us that a few years ago Scott battled melanoma cancer. Mike inferred, at least the way I took it, is that this is a recurrence of that.

He went on to say that as Scott is a very private person and not one to make his problems known, there have been few details made public about this, but urged our collective thoughts and prayers for his recovery.

    Best wishes to him.

He hasn't looked well since the problems started. The pictures I've seen of him are a stark contrast to his vibrant and strong voice. Hope it turns out.

Several weeks ago, during the FB season, Scotty did a Monday night Bison radio show on KFGO, which our local KZZJ simulcasts. Scotty was talking to Coach Klieman, I called the KFGO number and got through. Since I had met Scotty several years ago, when I said this is Tom from Rugby, he asked me how I was doing in my treatments. I said fine then asked him the same thing, because I wanted to know. I had heard rumors too. He said, bluntly and on-air, that he was undergoing chemo-therapy at Roger Maris every 2 weeks.
Since he made that much public, I shared it here.

Chemo can knock the shit outa you, but its short-term. Hopefully his is just that, short term, and in time we wont notice a thing.

for Scotty, and for anyone of Bison Nation dealing with cancer....we are thinking of you all! Go Bison

Thoughts and prayers to Scotty. Hope all goes well. Bison athletics aren't the same without him calling the games. Come back soon and give us more "MY OH MY'S"!!

BTW, sir, when they decide on a date for the Spring Game, you and all of us, will have to get-together? The out-of-state families demand that we be there...lol
