Ranking recruiting classes is a bigger crap shoot than the actual recruiting. That's saying something.

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. Were at the top of thr conference but ratings are ridiculous. It doesn't take into account the best players for a particular teams systems. A guy like Jabril Cox may be one of our best players but since he's unrated he's not going to impact the rarings. Also the players talents won't be realized until they add weight which could take a few years vs a player who is physically ready to play right away but maybe doesn't have as much upside as the development guys. Player development is 10x more important than how many stars some kid was assigned.

But, that being said. Georgia Southern looks like they had a nice recruiting class. I guess that Go Daddy bowl was a nice recruiting assist. Also, UAB had a nice class for not even playing last year. Colorado State had a nice class. Wyoming better watch out for them down the road.

I understand what posters have said about recruiting rankings, but I still think that this was an interesting assessment from Hero Sports:

    1. NORTH DAKOTA STATE
    RECRUITS: 26 (includes walk-ons)
GEM OF THE CLASS: DB/LB Moses Nyangacha (5-11/190)
NEXT THREE: DT Cameron Hackl, QB Henry Van Dellen, OL Ben Hecht.
THE SKINNY: Alabama just claimed its sixth straight mythical national recruiting title (depending on who you ask) and the Bison are in the same boat. It is impossible to ignore the group the Bison assembled. No matter how you look at it, this group is well-balanced, deep and talented. The linemen are big, mean and are going to improve by leaps and bounds under this staff. The skill kids, specifically Van Dellen, are full of potential. And the tiebreaker is this group of walk-ons--they are good enough to be scholarship players at 90 percent of the other FCS schools. No program in the FCS recruits for its system better than NDSU. You'd be dumb not to crown this collective as the best group in the FCS. Watch them blossom.
BEN HECHT TOLD HERO SPORTS: "There are a lot of things going through my mind right now, like what am I going to do next year when I'm nine hours away from home? But honestly I'm not worried because my new family is in Fargo."

UNI was ranked 5th and this recruit evidently did not do his homework.

MARCEL MINNIEFIELD TOLD HERO SPORTS: "I think UNI has been and still is a successful program, and they've been a contender for the national championship each year and I believe that won't change. Hopefully myself and the rest of my fellow recruits can push them to win a championship. The conference (Missouri Valley) is the best in Division I-AA, and I believe it'll be tough, but I believe that after training with our coaching staff, we will be prepared."

Bubbles is actually 213, but I see they did finish above Incarnate Word-by one place. Lots of D2 schools above UN_. Yes I know it's all subjective but still it's funny. At least we won't have to listen to bigund/geaux sioux bragging about their recruits. Nothing to brag up.

Edit: Beats me how I saw UN_ at 213, Vet is right, they are at 212, Guess I was looking at Incarnate Word and laughing that UN_ was ranked down there with them

If you want to see how lame the rankings are. Austin Peay was above us. At no time in modern history would they get within 4 TDS of us
