    Jake Mertens - 3 time all-state for Devils Lake

    Jake Mertens averaged 19.8 points, 6 rebounds and 4.5 assists this season. The 6-foot-3 senior finished his career with a school-record 463 assists and is second in career points with 1,495 points behind only older brother Nathan Mertens (1,544).

    Great kid, extremely hard worker. I coached his brother Nathan a few years ago. Last I had heard that Jake was deciding between U-Mary and Minot State.
