If this thread were a GEICO commercial, I'd be the guy in the red shorts. Flextacular.

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie

The only thing questionable IMO was the walk on scenario. Other than than bad situation with bad timing. Its unfortunate.
I think you're right about the first part.

Everything about the walk on scenario is speculation. People saying she would have done that are basing it on what was said AFTER. Furthermore, maybe it wasn't something Coach wanted to do for a number of reasons including not wanting to roster a Senior who wasn't likely to get many minutes and probably wouldn't be happy about it.

This thing happens a lot at the High School level when rebuilding. Do you sit Seniors to develop younger players for the future? The approach varies by program.

If that's not how she felt, then I don't know what we're talking about. I could really give a shit.

Looking back in the thread I dont see where anyone insulted HJ. I do see where some manipulated the situation to push their own agenda (which is probable worse then insulting someone but i digress). I do see several instances of people suggesting they did not approve of how HJ handled the situation. For many the media made HJ seem whinny and having sour grapes---- I guess if your going to go to the media you need to be prepared to take the scrutiny that comes with that.

I feel most of the negative feelings on this thread toward HJ are actually transference from Bisonionette's posts and, to a lessor degree, ED's. Bisonionette comes off as massively petty, vindictive and rabid. Since she's the one sticking up for HJ the most, HJ gets tarred with the same brush. Imagine how different the tone of this thread would have been if she had never found BV?

Never a good idea to burn bridges. She could have quietly gone on to grad school, played for UND for that year and kept the respect of all concerned.

I dont disagree with that. I know I have found myself falling into that trap. However you cant dismiss the media aspect of all this....HJ really messed up going there. Like i mentioned before, I am not sure HJ did that all on here own. I have no proof, but my gut tells me that she was led astray by someone she trusted. I just get the sense that just like Bisonionettes uses HJ name on her pimp her own agenda someone in the media did the same. Again no proof just a gut feeling.
