    Default 2016 MVFC Recruiting

Was curious what affect Bob Nielson leaving Western Illinois
and taking the South Dakota head job would have on
recruiting. Looks like 4 SD verbals so far had strong ties
to Western Illinois. The 'Yotes may have their QB of the future
from Niles, IL (Notre Dame Prep). Tyler Tsagalis (6' 3" 206)
had verbaled to WIU and then switched over to SD.
(Reminds me to appreciate Easton Stick all the more .....)

Others with WIU offers (verbals I think) include:

    Philip Powell - WR - 6" 185 - King HS - Chicago

    Ben Klett - OLB/RB - 6' 1" 205 - Lake Zurich Illinois

    Marchalo Judge - SS - 5' 9" 184 - Tampa Bay Tech, Tampa Bay

Also like to check out how Northern Iowa is doing with
their recruiting in Minnesota. I wonder if that had anything
to do with Coach Farley not wanting NDSU in the Missouri Valley FC.
    back in the day???.....
Found 5 names so far, feel free to add or subtract.

    Jake Hartford - WR - 6' 3" 215 - Centennial Pines MN

    Brison White - DB/LB - 5' 10" 215 - East Ridge HS

    Isaiah Weston - WR - 6' 4" 190 - St Michael/Albertville HS

    Elerson Smith - TE/DE - 6' 4" 190 - Minneapolis South

    Connor Novak-Goer - DL - 6' 2" 256 - Eden Prairie

And what have those Wascally Wabbits been up to in Nebraska?
Assistant Coach Dan Jackson has been busy recruiting his old
stomping grounds (Omaha native, Nebraska-Omaha grad)......

    QB - Alec Cromer - 6' 6" 215 - Beatrice, NE

    WR - Cade Johnson - 5'11" 175 - Bellevue, NE (West)

    WR - Monte' McGary - 6'2" 175 - Omaha, NE (South)

    OC - Jack Domandle - 6'4" 285 - Omaha, NE (Millard West)

    DT - Elijah Wilson - 6'3" 245 - Omaha, NE (Central)

    DB - Joshua Manchigiah - 6'0" 182" - Papillion - NE (Papillion-La Vista South)

    LB - Jacob Matthew - 6'3" 230 - Omaha, NE (Millard North)
.......(NDSU offer at one time, Nick DeLuca's high school)

TE/P Alex Cloyd, 6'3" 215, Omaha, NE (Millard South)
........Jackrabbits locked in a battle with Grand Forks U here
........SDSU flipped Cloyd, but Bubba may not have given up

Tom Miller reporting that Alex Cloyd "reconfirmed"
    his Grand Forks U commitment.
Good drama on this recruiting battle between the Rabbits and the FNHawks.
Who gets the last verbal here???

I've heard this recruit may flip to USD.

Coyotes are back to hitting the Omaha market hard. Not going to make it easy for the Bunnies.

Domandle has been committed to SDSU since June and you think you are going to get him to flip with an offer the week before signing day?

Good luck on Domandle. But, did see a picture of him from yesterday
congratulating a 2017 teammate on his 1st offer - from SDSU. Seemed
like a good sign for the Jacks. Good to hear the Coyotes are
going to be giving the Jacks added competition in Omaha and out state.

Am wondering how active NDSU will be there in the future. So far
this year there are no Nebraska verbals for the Bison, that would be
2 consecutive years with zero Nebraska recruits if it ends that way.

Gunna sell him on the new basketball arena, big thing for a football player to take into consideration.

I was wondering that myself, with all the success we have had with Nebraska kids....and the down years excuse, I'm not really sure I agree with that.

now listed as a Coyote verbal.
