There is a reason why you don't see often that a Wide Receiver has tremendous success as a rookie be it as a freshman in college or a first year NFL player. There may be a lot of hype for someone but it rarely works out. Wide Receiver is a position of intricacy and timing and trust between the WR and QB. Even a free agent WR takes time to get on the same page as their QB. The trust between a WR and QB that they are both going to run A route or B route depending on how the Defense is playing them is not just a quick learn it for a play or two a game.

1. He's too good a LB to screw with this shit.

2. There's more to being a WR then running fast.

Watch the guy play, he disruptive on the whole field

Just rewatched the SDSU game (no sound during rockies/cubs . He shows up at almost every tackle, regardless of where on the field the play evolves. Definitely has a nose for the ball. Couple that with speed, length, athleticism … Yes indeed.

I will stand by my belief that he will leave NDSU after 4 years of playing as the best Defensive player to play at NDSU

If you want to cover up the lack of WR depth you can deploy rb out wide and or involve more TE. LAst thing you do is take your star from the D.

It’s not WR depth I’m concerned with. I’m not concerned about our #3 and 4 WR. I’m concerned about #1.

I don’t think Shep has the talent to create real separation, or the power to win 50/50 balls.
