How true, but I thought college football wasn't a professional sport? Can't wait for the NCAA to make their next great decision that will enable all athletes to be free agents anytime. Of course, that won't have any negative impact on basketball and football at the majority of NCAA member schools........

As long as they have their degree first I'm fine with it.

For football players with NFL aspirations it's one thing, for people in the many other sports or who dont have a future professionally playing, who have graduated and still have eligibility left it seems fine to let them play elsewhere while getting their Masters.

I know when I was at NDSU, had I wanted to get an MBA it would have been 100% useless. --> that came directly from our professors. So if I was athlete(lol at that idea) with eligibility left, it would be really shitty to spend a year taking pointless classes that wouldnt have had any benefit to me

Obviously that's not really the case here, but this rule isn't in place for people like Jabril, it's in place for people who want to get a Masters and use their remaining eligibility. Seems like a nice reward for athletes who graduate on time and still have a year to use up.

The big transfer thing I dont like is the use of "waivers" when its clearly nonsense or minor things. I'm looking at you Justin Fields.

Or it was already decided when he announced he was transferring. Part of the delay was sitting i’s and crossing t’s.

Maybe he won't be able to find a pen that works to sign the letter of intent. Not sure what official things need to happen for grad transfers and such. There's still a chance that he stays at NDSU

    Scottie didn't answer me.

He also didn't sleep for three days.

I hope all the readers and recruits that read the articles about the transfer can appreciate NDSU's ability to have enough depth to be able to redshirt a talent like Jabril.
