Default The best football teams in North Dakota All-Time?

Here is a new question that I don't think has been asked. If we ranked the top 10 or 15 most dominant football teams that have ever played in this state at any level, who are they and how many of them are NDSU? Most for sure, but I'm no ND high school historian.

High school? The Shanley team that was ranked 1 in the nation. 2006 Fargo South should be listed. Some of the South/St Mary's teams of 80s/early 90s were pretty good.

Beulah in high school class B from 1989(?) was undefeated, shutting out nearly all of their opponents, including in the championship game. Winning by an average score of something like 45-2. It was utter dominance.

In the late 60's and early 70's Al Dosch's St Benedicts/Emmons Central Knights in Class B were an awesome bunch. Dosch was an innovative coach with some very non-traditional offensive schemes. It was before the curent playoff system began, so championships were "unofficial". The Dockter brother (Kevin, Cam, Joel, and Jeff) and Schweigert brother fueled Zeeland Vikings of the late 70's early 80's. I think a couple of the Dockters went on to play at NDSU. Leon Opdahl coached those teams.

I believe that Watford City had some very good teams in the 80s and 90s. Didn't Fred Fridley coach them?

Cavalier gave up all of one TD the entire year in 2013 (I believe) and that was mop up time in the championship game.

I played against Fridley's teams in the mid 80s four times. They were all very good.

Watford City was in the Class B eleven man state championship game for something like the first 13 years it was played. They won most of those games. Go Wolves!
