Giving the new Bison1660 a try today and Colin Cowherd predicts Iowa will finish the season at #8.

That will be awesome for Iowa to accomplish that after the Bison beat them.

Safe travels to anyone coming to the game best luck rest of the season to the Bison after Iowa City. Hope the fans in IC treat everyone well. Apologies in advance for those who consume too much alcohol pre and post-game.

    1) I chuckle at the heat-related stuff. Mid-September temps could be in the 70s for kick, or in the 90s. Either way, both teams train and prepare, so not sure how that impacts anyone. Fans might be more bothered than players if in 90s.
    2) No excuses here if the Bison win. You all have a good team.
    3) Iowa is likely the best FBS team the Bison have played. Again, that doesn't mean squat when the game is played. The 2009 Iowa team that won the Orange Bowl had to block 2 FG's at the end to beat Northern Iowa.
    4) No idea how this one will go. Most of the national punditry had Illinois State as an upset special over Iowa last year. Iowa led 31-0 in the third quarter before emptying the bench and winning 31-14. NDSU appears to be far stronger in the trenches than Illinois State. Iowa's strengths this year appear to be (in no particular order): the QB, the defense (8 returning starters), and the o-line. Big question marks on special teams, replacing both the kicker and punter.

Same question marks then since NDSU's kicking game is also worth worrying about...and yes you are easily the best FBS team we have faced. K-State had a decent season but didn't have near the returning manpower you guys bring back

    1. You'd think so but it was 100+ down at Kansas State and NDSU looked a bit fresher at the end of the game. Just holding our own is a win because it's always a worry that NDSU will get worn down by an FBS team's superior depth. That said, Iowa State looked like they needed "500 CCs of pickle juice stat!" about 17 minutes into the game. I'm guessing that Iowa will be much better prepared.
    2. I'd guess that Northern Iowa really gets up for Iowa kind of like NDSU really gets up for putting a beating on the Gophers. Not sure that NDSU will get the same kind of boost that UNI gets from playing Iowa.
    3. Iowa is easily the toughest FBS match up NDSU has ever had because Iowa is nasty on the lines and has an experienced, talented QB.
    4. The Illinois State game was an eye-opener. They looked helpless against Iowa. Then again, they looked helpless against Richmond so we have that going for us.

How long ago did you guys play Kansas State? People keep referring to that benchmark like it means something...
It would behoove you Andrew! To cease putting my Bison down! We are loyal fans and super smart intelligence.
