Heh, I think that one time I was moved to drop Von Pinnon an email. IIRC, after some slap down Kupchella got from the hockey/nickname folks (Ralph's extortion letter?), VP published something where Kupchella was quoted as saying that it was now his job to make the university into something that the hockey team could be proud of. Von Pinnon thought that President K's goal was a noble one. In my email, I pointed out that President Kupchella was clearly taking a jab at the people who put hockey above the university. Von Pinnon's reply was irate. He claimed that President K was a good friend and would never, ever suggest something like that about UND, and that he was sick and tired of people being so cynical.
VP's nose is so far up UND's ass that when he sneezes, UND's figurative belly button turns from an innie to an outie.
