3 weeks is a long long lay off. If you haven't experienced it before dealing with it can be a problem. Another problem is if you were not expecting to get to FRISCO, you may have problems getting your fans sufficient tickets to make a presence. The team that has been there many time also has experience dealing with the venue, media, and distractions. First time is a tough trip.

JSU looked good, but NDSU is on another level right now. Three weeks to prepare for JSU, does not bode well for them. Plus with aying in Frisco which is basically a home game for the Bison.....well they are screwed. Bison 38 JSU 17

JSU tickets go on sale at 1pm tomorrow (probably eastern time). First dibs to season ticket holders so keep your eyes out for public sales.

I didn't get to watch much of today's game but I noticed a few things about JSU. Their offense seem to receive a lot of instructions from the sidelines. This can be to the Bison's advantage as one shift of our defense will have them consulting with the sidelines to rethink their game plane. All the Bison fans in the stands will make those consultations a bit more of a challenge too. They have a good running game and can defend against a passing game. The few times SHSU ran the ball the JSU defense wasn't that strong which is an advantage for us. Their offense and defensive lines have some big players but they aren't big in a healthy sort of way. Those kinds of players lack stamina.

It will be a good, running game battle with the Bison coming out on top. The Bison's offense's ability to control of the clock will be a big factor.

Tougher matchup....Jacksonville State 2016 or Illinois State 2015? My gut says JSU because of the unknowns. Last year both teams knew exactly what they were getting into and what kind of game it would be. It was a typical MVFC game plus, they had Roberson and we all know one of our biggest weaknesses the last few years has been running qb's. IMO the game will be one or lost by their O-Line and our D-Line.
