It'll be really tough to hold a team of Iowa State's caliber under 70. I think if the Bison are going to be in this one they're going to need to put up over 70 themselves.

Yeah Iowa state is flithy good. They have shooters for days all over the court. They are going to have to miss jumpshots which they dont do a lot. Also we have to take care of the ball and play at our pace, definetly dont want a track meet against these guys.

No matter what happens tonight it will be a good test for NDSU. Lets win this one!

We will need to play a near perfect game to win tonight. But we did shock the world in Madison, Milwaukee, and Spokane so we might as well in Ames as well!!

Our two biggest challenges to guard tonight will be their

PG Monte Morris 6'3 JR very quick, creates for others, can shoot, and tough defender--Carlin and Khy will need to keep him out of lane and protect the ball

C Jameel McKay 6'9 SR agile big guy who can score and block shots--Kading and Dex will need to push him off the block and box him out

    OF COURSE....

PF George Niang 6'8 SR is tough but likes to shoot jump shots which might be able to put AJ on him

Bison will battle but Iowa States tempo will make it really difficult for the Bison to control tempo and limit possessions

Bison Defense will have to force some turnovers and WIN battle on boards

When does Coach Richman finally make change for good to the starting lineup of DEXTER over KADING

Kading is defensively minded big who doesn't rebound or score

DEX can score on block, great rebounder, and blocks shots from weakside

Is it just a SENIOR thing...let him start to feel good...but end with players we want on the floor
and who starts doesn't really matter

my point is DEXTER DESERVES more MINUTES!! I feel he is our third most IMPACTFUL player after Paul & AJ

I like how Richman has handled that. Dex can still get 20+ minutes off the bench. I think having an energy guy like that to bring in off the bench really helps after that initial stretch to start the game. Kading is really underrated as a defensive presence. I think Dex is great too but he's nowhere near the defender that Kading is and it really helps on that side of the court to have an eraser in the lane. Plus with AJ and Paul Miller on the court the Bison have plenty of scoring out there already without Dex. He fits in with guys like Khabellis and Clements who struggle to score the ball moreso than the guys in the starting 5. I just think it's a good balance to have Dex coming off the bench and Kading starting.
