We are really confident about our 3s. None of them looked very good, but they kept taking them. I think we will have a much better inside out game and outside in game this year.

Ultimately, it was the absence of your best defender and the presence of some really good defense on our part that defined the game.

BTW, I wasn't there, but people say that they have never heard Hilton so silent as when Niang went down. It was such a relief to see him come back into the game. If you hurt him, we would be coming for some serious revenge.

In that case...yes, we hurt him so time to schedule a revenge game for next year at our new arena

For smaller programs it is a much bigger deal, not a shock our best teams were also the most experienced. This team will be very good in AJ and Paul's senior year if they can find/develop some other pieces around them.
What year was Woodside when we beat Wisconsin?

I'm sorry but beating a top 4/5 on their home floor is a tough task for any team. Now I would have liked to see the Bison keep it closer towards the end of the game but they did compete and showed they belonged on the same floor as the Cyclones. Nobody likes moral victories but you also have to be realistic to some degree. I know some people talk about the Bison being young but I would choose the word inexperienced. Clements, Khy, D. Miller have not played much against this kind of competition but I believe games like this will only help them. Any comparisons to Kentucky or Duke should be thrown out the window for obvious reasons.

The Bison got a game-high 24 points from freshman guard Ben
Woodside, and a surprising 16 points inside from forward Andre
    Smith.

The Bison must have drank too much Ames water.

    Horray!

P.S. It is really cute to hear some of you guys talking about not liking "moral victories," but actually doing so. Sounds like Iowa State and our football program.
