Will be interesting to see if the Jacks run a similar
starting line-up to what the Bison did last year.
Essentially 3 guards, with a SG/SF at PF, and 1 big.
Or just go ahead and call it a 4 guard line-up.
SDSU has 3 seniors in 6' 1" George Marshall (Wisky transfer),
    6' 1" Deondre Parks and 6' 4" Jake Bittle.
6' 6" Reed Tellinghuisen would get to play the A J role at SF/PF
in such a line-up. With fan favorite Cody Larson gone,
they can pick a big, say 6' 9" Soph Ian Theisen (who NDSU recruited).
(perhaps one of our Rabbit friends can tell us who their best big is)

With 3 experienced seniors in the backcourt, (pre-season all-conference)
imagine the Jacks' disappointment if they don't make the dance this year.
And imagine that disappointment if the 'Yotes catch them this year,
instead of off in the future. Get the popcorn ready if that scenario happens.

This is Nagy's last good opportunity to show that he can coach without Nate Wolters. He tried it last year and couldn't seem to get past a young Bison team that has a very legitimate X's and O's coach.

It makes things more fun when the arena's are full.
I suppose it's the same as comparing NIT wins to NCAA wins.

Jacks could be more balanced than us but we matchup very well with them. Our backcourt has rebounded very strongly for their size and we've been defending the perimeter well.

Well, Coach Richman wants DEFENSE first and foremost so a defensively minded player gets nod over offensively minded players---to at least start the season...lol

    My Starters
PG Carlin Dupree--great perimeter defender---good slasher--must improve jump shot and decision making
SG Paul Miller---good defender---good spot up shooter--must improve scoring off dribble and not committing silly fouls
SF Kory Brown--great defender---physical player---can drive to basket...outworks lots of players---not much scoring ability
PF AJ Jacobson--ok defender--good spot up shooter--can drive to basket...must improve around hoop, get to FT line, and shot fake 1 dribble pull ups
C Chris Kading--great defender in post---limited post game...limited face up game---protects the rim
    PF Dexter Werner--ok defender---good post scorer--great rebounder--improve elbow jumpers
PF Evan Wesenberg--ok defender--must develop physically and improve shot
    SF Trey Miller---get healthy
C Spencer Elliason---develop post game---continue to improve post defense and rebounding
SG Malik Clements--score the ball---defend on perimeter---make open shots
PG Khy Kabellis---protect the ball...create for others---get stronger
PF Dylan Miller---score in the post---rebound and protect rim---want to see
    PF Deng Geu---Redshirt---get stronger

Would like to see Dylan Miller or Dexter Werner start at 5

    maybe even

    PG Dupree
    SG Miller
    SF Jacobson
    PF Werner
    C Miller

    by end of year.....

How is it the DW gets named preseason all-conference and most of you diss him by not thinking he will start.

    Got my season tickets btw.

I think Miller starts and Dex comes off bench so we have a quality big off the bench. Brown will start whole season, unless theres an injury.

I don't think anyone is dissing him by saying he will come off the bench.... I myself am very unsure of what starting lineup we will settle into... Probably the most athletic bison basketball team ever.... And will be interesting for me at least to see if young elliason grows to close the size his older brother did
Exciting times to be a bison basketball fan
Now for all of you that don't head down to Sioux Falls
Save a few days of vacation if you can it's really a great place for a basketball fan
