That catch at the goal line was a big mistake on his part. He's gotta run that route in the end zone. Just little things like that he needs to clean up but they are costly. Hopefully he keeps getting opportunities.

I did love seeing Shepherd make the first catch and to see his interaction with Rodgers after that. Very fun to see. Just wish he could have found a way to get the ball over the plane of the goalline. It was very, very close and probably should have been reviewed. That being said there wasn't much of a need to throw it to Shep because the RB and TE were completely wide open all game long.

It's not obvious to me that he wasn't running the called route. A lot of routes are designed to land on the 1 yard line, because the defender will often concede that territory. Remember, both sides know where the goal line is.

This exactly. Maybe he was open BECAUSE the route was just short of the goal line.
