KVLY Crap Production

I especially liked the bouncy 45-degree shots of the field. And that the score was 0-0 until SUI was credited with 3 points when the Bison scored a TD.

Some non-NDSU friends were watching the game with me when the soybean trivia came on. I guess I never noticed it before, but it did feel a little bush-league after they all asked me WTF that was all about.

But I will say after watching some D2 and D3 games on Espn3 and ASN, the KVLY production isn't completely terrible. The station that covers a local D2 team doesn't even send the announcers to the away games. They just announce from the studio. So you get things like, "it looks like the ball is maybe on the 45-yard line."

NDSU shouldn't be compared to the production quality of D2 and D3 games but instead against the quality of FBS games. IMHO

Its so bad that I refused to listen.....I listend to Scotty Miller and Phil Hanson on the radio and watched the game even though radio was a few plays behind

I actually thought this was the best game by the announcers, so one silver lining.

I have done this in the past. Just pause your live tv and allow the radio broadcast to catch up. Then it is all together. But if you channel surf during a commercial you will have to sync it back up. I do it for basketball games as well. This year I hope to be at most of the home games for basketball.

I'd agree with this. Timmerman is either improving or I'm just becoming numb to him. I saw on the SIU a post commenting on how good the announcers were, so from the outside looking in we apparently don't have it too bad.

BS has never been bad, but some clear improvement from LT. Not sure what happened.

I guess I haven't noticed the improvement... It's sad when our own announcers can't get our own player's name right according to jersey number. I think I spend half the broadcast correcting to my wife what they got wrong (exaggeration but making a point). If you don't know for certain, don't say anything. It's sad really because how hard is it to see who lines up where... Not saying I could do a better job, but if it was my job... Maybe CAS's negativity has rubbed off on me...

Maybe they should download the Bison app. A roster is on there. Im not too proud to say sometimes I need to check it.
