I was confused too. I think Tony meant they have had football for 50 FEWER years than the other two schools...because I think Grand Valley State's football program is fairly young.

Edit: Tony beat me to it.

And this is completely possible IF:
●The defensive backfield plays as if they're each 6" taller and 5 seconds faster in the 40
●The offensive line lives up to preseason expectations
●We settle on 2 key running backs and use them consistently
●The tight ends are used when appropriate
●The coaches remember what got the team to this point
    ●Power running...'nuff said
●Ginger Jesus brings us to the promised land!

Another interesting number to follow as the season progresses is NDSU's all time wins in relation to other FCS schools. Since the start of the year the Bison have pulled ahead of Lehigh to take sole possession of #7 amongst current FCS programs. They've got a decent chance to get to #5 before the season is over although it would probably require a deep playoff run since Dartmouth is already 3-0 and can probably sleep walk into at least 7 wins with their schedule. Got some work to do to get into the top 4.

Most wins all-time by current FCS programs through 10/4/15

    1. Yale - 888
    2. Harvard - 851
    3. Penn - 831
    4. Princeton - 807
    5. Dartmouth - 679
    6. Delaware - 676
    7. NDSU - 674
    8. Lehigh - 673
    9. Lafayette - 670
    10. Dayton - 653
