    Default 2015 Bison Pre-Bunny Factoid

NDSU and Nebraska are neck and neck for the best records for teams currently in DI since 1965 (last 50 seasons):

    NDSU: .778731
    Nebraska: .778939

My D2 numbers are incomplete but the best record for what I do have is Grand Valley State, but they haven't had football for 50 years and have 90 fewer wins and 9 more losses.

Is it possible to pass them this year?

Could pass them this weekend. Only separated by two ten-thousandths.

If NDSU wins the next 62, the Bison would be at exactly 80%.

UN_ fans would calculate the number of losses for Nebraska to get to 70%

Some on here could probably calculate the odds of us passing Nebraska this weekend. What are the total records for each team? Can we pass Nebraska this weekend with both Nebraska and NDSU winning? I would assume Nebraska has played more games over the last 50 years than NDSU has. But maybe not.

Does this include all D1 teams? I can only assume that it does. I also find this to be very believable since NDSU only has 3 sub .500 seasons since 64' and 17 seasons with 1 loss or undefeated.

That first part I'm very familiar with. The second part... Wow! I hadn't ever looked that up or heard that before. Pretty impressive.

Grand Valley State????? There is a school of this name that has a heck of a football program.

I phrased that awkwardly. They're only on their 45th season of football - so they haven't had a program for the entirety of the period I was looking at.
