Default Low Oil and Ag prices. Impact to Bison Fundraising

When things were hopping in the Bakken and in the agriculture community, everyone wanted to be a bison supporter and was offering up big checks.

So with the down turn in both oil and ag commodities, banks already tightening up on the farmers. When does the trickle down effect NDSU. Not only team makers, but development and other.........

It's bound to make a big difference IF the low prices persist for a long time. There are a lot of farmers, many with oil money, who have climbed high on the donations list. Right now, most ag price experts say this is the new normal.....awful news if true. When farmers don't have money for equipment, donations will suffer.

Isn't it great that some of those people, when the means were available to them, voluntarily donated to the cause. If and when their means diminish it does not take away from the contributions they made.

I am curious if Harold Hamm donated anything to NDSU

If not, maybe his ex-wife will, just out of spite.

We all live in stories... It seems to me that a definition of any living vibrant society is that you constantly question those stories... The argument itself is freedom. It's not that you come to a conclusion about it. Through that argument you change your mind sometimes... That's how societies grow. When you can't retell for yourself the stories of your life then you live in a prison... Somebody else controls the story. - S. Rushdie
