Watching his hudl video, he looks similar to Wieneke's high school videos...Wieneke looks slightly faster with a little more meat on the bones, but like Wieneke, Engel runs good routes and catches everything, the skills that are hard to teach...this bodes well for us, Engel is going to be a good one.

All jokes aside, I can think of a few big wideouts that we have brought in...Illes and Drago.
Really? Il lilies is 6'3", does that really constitute a "big" wideout in the sense of what the Bison faced last year with the bunnies or this year with the teddy bears?

Glad to see they see it as worthwhile to show highlights of his blocking abilities as a wide receiver.

Are you kidding me? Weineke is listed at 6-4. Are those 2 finger widths really enough to change whether you consider a guy "big" or not? Good grief. Illies plays big, that is what counts.

    Furthermore:
    Ellis Henderson - 6-0
    Jamaal Jones - 6-1

Illies is taller than both. Fail...

He looks kind of slow and doesn't run very crisp routes. Ball skills on the other hand are off the charts .

Game speed and track speed are a lot different. I think he plays pretty slow and does not seperate. RJ isn't the fastest guy , but when you watched his high school highlights , he burned a lot of guys .

This is what I saw too. I think a year of red shirting would be good to get acclimated with the speed and toughness of D1 football. You can't teach that size though and it looks like he has very good hands. He will create a lot of mismatches, that's for sure!
