UND has been talking to Summit MVFC & BigSky for quite a while. Big Sky agreement was if we keep them informed of our move with enough time not to have to re-schedule, they'll waive the $1M buyout & that has been successfully done. Summet was no problem. MVFC was the challenge, and with time they started to give in, especially with 3 years time before UND starts and because there's great potential for more membership change.
Publicly, PV can't say anything differently. At least one WILL be gone. 11 teams is just not ideal for scheduling. Mix that in with the best conference from top to bottom who already struggles getting enough deserving teams in the playoffs doesn't make sense. And why, as PV stated on The Insiders, would the MVFC make this decision to help out the Summit? Maybe I'm just bothered that UND, in the end, always gets their way.
