Great post steelbison.
Shanley 1 point lead - 5:04 to go against Minot
Class A quarterfinals
Deacons lead by 3 with 51 secs left
Dietz with 2 clutch ft , Shanley by 5
Shanley holds on to win by 5
Jacobson with 18, Rotunda 22, Askvig & Reynolds 18 each
Both Rylee Nudell and Sarah Jacobson are nominated for
Miss ND Basketball. All-time Class B leading scorer vs All-time leading
Class A scorer. Who should win?
I think of Shanley's win streak and go that way.....
Also nominated - Shanley's Lauren Rotunds (Univrsity of Mary)
Minot's Cassie Askvig (also Mary), Thompson's Shaice Marx (Bemidji State)
and Watford City's Katie Mogen.
Two very worthy candidates
Hoping that Shanley takes out Wahpeton's Wascally Wabbit
in the semi-finals tomorrow - Tylee Irwin (2017) - SDSU verbal
Watched Irwin's game tonight, she looks to be 5' 11" - 6' with a slim build.
My amateur take was she has a very good handle, shoots well & can create her own shot as well.
Will never be built like a PF or a C, but with her ball-handling skills
can be a SF/SG. Shanley/Wahpeton had a tough game in the regional,
but am guessing Shanley has enough weapons to beat the Huskies again.
