That team is young. Imo they are unwise not to give him one more year.
I doubt if Bohl could have went to a FBS school with lower expectations than Wyoming. They would be happy if they returned to mediocrity in a few years. I doubt if he lasts through next season if they don't show some ability to be competitive.
Basically this. Yeah, theyre having one of the worst seasons possible and I think Bohl is attempting to do some of the same things he did here that doesn't work in Wyoming.
He is attempting to turn an program around. Yeah he regressed but the guy should have at least 3-4 years to show if his recruiting worked out or not.
Do any of you actually watch WY play? WY will be a good team in 2 years, they are young and inexperience, but they show lots of potential. The offense is coming along better than the defense, in 2 years these players will be fun to watch. Many of their mistakes are inexperience mistakes, maturity will take care of it.
When you build a program that was bad you need 4 to 5 years to bring it back.

You could say exactly the same thing about any of the Bison freshman, RS-freshman and sophomores this year. They needed experience...game time snaps. Trouble tackling, poor technique blocking etc. Look how fast our players came around though? All the while learning, game-by-game, teamwork?
We could easily say.."coaching" right?
But with a whole staff of former NDSU coaches, Wyoming must have some deeper problems, like players just not giving it there all.
And yes I have watched all or parts of 3 games this year, and no sign of improvement at all.
But I do agree, Wyoming might need 4 to 5 yrs to bring their program up!!
Just wondering who will be the coaches by then?
When a coaching staff comes in and has to create a culture it takes time to develop the players. They need two more years of recruiting their type of player and developing them to play their style of football. When Bohl came to Fargo the culture was already in place. He didn't have to create one from scratch. He and his staff have a very difficult time ahead of them. Hopefully they will be given the time to develop their recruits and build the culture they need to be successful.
