Kind of like the USA vs Soviet Union olympic championship basketball game back in...what was it, 1974?
At least they didn't get to the point of getting the same three seconds back three times to run a play three times, have an illegal substitution, and have an official reject signing the game off to eventually have a committee led by eastern bloc countries vote along political lines rather than the basketball rulebook to eventually keep it wrong. All the while the game itself was being manipulated by the FIBA secretary general who had no authority but everyone was too scared to call him off. What was kind of funny about it all was the FIBA secretary general Renato Jones thought the Soviets had zero chance in hell of winning and just wanted to make sure it all looked like they weren't screwing them over even though the Soviets were the ones who maintained enough ambiguity in their actions to keep everyone guessing when they called a time out and whether they changed their mind or not.
There were a lot of rule changes after that game especially about how you could call timeouts.
