I think its anecdotal and optimistic. I'd be willing to bet losing your starting QB alone, especially when he is an NFL draft pick, usually results in a drop in play on the offensive side of the ball, if you looked at all situations on all teams where that was the case.
Defensively you're obviously solid, but I wouldn't exactly say you were dominant against any good competition. Losses to Auburn and Arizona St (ew), and the PAC12 is bottom tier p5.
Just listen to me for a second, I'm coming around to you on this because you're obviously a beer person and beer people are my people... What I'm saying is, NDSU has 2 big question marks at corner and DE. Outside of that, I expect our defense to be just as good, and we have a history of depth on the line with guys stepping up especially in big games. Filling that corner spot is the biggest question mark for the Bison and could be the key factor in this game. We agree, this *should* be a good game. I will be surprised if Oregon wins by more than 1 score. I wouldn't be surprised at a Bison loss, but in all sincerity, it has more to do with aforementioned questions on the Bison D than a dominant Oregon.
Notice I'm not asking you to name any PAC12 teams you think would beat any Bison team since 2011, because I have no idea what that would prove or why anyone would ask you to do that. I was calling *that* "fucking moronic." But you're absolutely entitled to thinking you'll be the best Defense in the FBS and a better Offense. Honestly I don't have a problem with that take, you guys all seem to know your team. I'll believe it when I see it....
As for the bet... Ok, lets do this. But terms need to be modified. Are you confident Oregon will cover the spread? Would you be willing to use that as a measuring stick or do we need to find our own line?

It’s really simple. Look at Arroyo’s output at every stop as an OC. His offenses never operated at 100% capacity. He’s a subpar OC.
The reasons why the offense improve:
1) proven coordinator
2) skill positions are finally experienced and talented - it was bare boned two years ago and inexperienced last year.
3) Herbert plays constipated and throws 100 mph on every throw.
I’m glad to hear the Fargo beer scene is improving. Last time I was out there was years ago and it seemed like FBC had just opened and was the only game in town. Was at Surly a year or two ago, Furious and Todd the Axe Man were solid IPA’s, wish I would have found a couple bottles of Darkness. I’d love to see how the Midwest stacks up to the BBA stuff we’ve got out here. Goose Island BCS is the only one I see regularly and this years batch wasn’t as good as last years. (Fucking InBev) IMO Fremont out of Seattle is CRUSHING it this year coconut BBomb is stupid delicious. Do you guys get them? Or Deschutes, North Coast?
Deschutes and North Coast, yes. Fremont, no... but I have a bottle of 2016 BBA Dark Star that I am holding for a buddy of mine who got it in Colorado (long story) ANYWAY... Old Rasputin (and the BA) version are usually pretty reliable to get out here, and you can't give away Abyss or the Black Butte anniversary stuff anymore. I'm bummed that Deschute's quality has gone down in Abyss especially since they started doing the variants. That tequila version was awful. I'm big fan of Fresh Squeezed and Red Chair, though. Great table beers.
I actually didn't notice the drop in quality from this year's BCBS. The variants, too, this year and last I thought were all stellar of the ones I've tried. They've really done a good job since the 2015 infection debacle.
Any other breweries out there you like? I've been lucky to be able to try a few Hair of the Dog vintages (Fred is the one I remember). If you ever get down to the Twin Cities again, there a few newer places (way better than Surly) that I can recommend. I lived for a decade and recently moved back home.
