If the Bison win, the ducks will be out of the top 25. If the Duck win by less than 14 points, they might get dropped out of the top 25.

A big day for Lance against a top-tier FBS defense might help his draft stock, but I can't see him leaving early.

    I think we'll be somewhere in the top 10 - 12 preseason.
I think we'll still be there after the game (I don't think Oregon will lose).
I agree with Hammerhead. Lance is a fine QB and a good showing against a top defense will only help his stock with the NFL.

    2. Not talking about probability here, if the Bison beat the Ducks, should they be rated in the Top 25?
..... a. Follow-up question on that one, if the Bison beat the Ducks, WILL they be rated in the Top 25?
    3. If the Bison beat the Ducks and Trey Lance has an absolute monster day (which is likely what will need to happen to win), does this change his draft stock, and/or likelihood he declares early?

Honestly not trying to start anything with these questions, just curious what everyone thinks. Cheers!
    1. Consensus will be between them ranked 5-7.
    2. Should be but it will be tough. Some cant shake the FCS label.
    - Will they be? Doubt it.
    3. His draft stock will be talked about a little earlier than it would normally. I still think he's here at least 3 years as a starter.

IMO people should relax concerning Lance and enjoy the ride. He is an exceptional young man with great skills, but all the NFL talk strikes me as a tad early.
The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

I think you're right with that thought. However, it's pretty cool when you can watch a player that young and already be able to see the various factors that make him NFL-capable.

The first duck to reply completely dodges the question. Did not see that coming...

    1. 6-12
    2. Depends on how the game plays out, probably not (Oregon dropping out of top 25)
If NDSU wins I think they’d be just outside the top 25 with an opportunity to move in after a couple weeks of teams losing.
    3. No, he will be evaluated based on the sum of his tape not one game just like every other prospect. It might be weighed more heavily playing against a talented defense but his decision shouldn’t be effected by one games output. He’s either ready and a good prospect or he’s not ready yet. One game doesn’t change him as a player. IMO he’s a really good player, if he shows the natural progression as a passer you’d expect he might only be your QB for one more year. I don’t think this games score would have an impact on that one way or another. Just like Jordan Loves average (for himself) performance against LSU is having zero effect on his stock.

Since I don't think we'll lose, I say we won't drop. Since I also think we win by more than 14, I don't think that would impact our ranking either.

That being said, for your hypotheticals: IF we were to lose, I don't think we fall from the top 25 (probably into the 15-20 range, though). IF we win by 14 or less, we might drop 2-3 spots...that's all. (Edit: I don't think you guys realize how much respect you have earned. Losing to a good team - or even winning close - isn't going to be a disaster for the rankings. And you guys are - justifiably - regarded as a good team at any level.)

    Like that answer better?
