    Chuck the pigskin!
Many thousands are in want of common necessaries; hundreds of thousands are in want of common comforts, sir."

Scrooge-"And the Union workhouses." . "Are they still in operation?". "Both very busy, sir..."

Their defense probably won’t be any better than Iowa’s, but, even with a new qb, they will probably have a better offense

I may have to politely disagree just a tad. If Oregon was just replacing the QB I would have to agree with you but their OL will need some time to jell and starting the season the way they do isn’t favorable for that and pull of some Ws. Oregon does have some great backs and receivers though. If I remember Iowa had two great backs as well with a stud TE and Beathard at QB with from what I can remember maybe a veteranish OL plus it’s IOWA so you know they will have a great OL. I personally would give IOWA’s offense a slight edge.

Shootout isn't what I was getting at. It's more about breaking tendencies.

Got it---it would be more my concern that what you are suggesting. Besides my motto for the offseason:

I wonder how vanilla Oregons playbook will be with OSU coming in the next week? And how much will they disguise their coverages?

Against Iowa, NDSU was the 3rd game of the year, following a rivalry game the previous with with Iowa St. they probably weren't as worried about putting things on tape anymore.

That Iowa defense was insane. They had the best D back in college football.

NDSU has proven against K State, Iowa, and JMU that to win games against good teams, we have to run the quarterback.

And I think the 2020 offense will be better than 2017
